José Banús, the developer, along with the architect Noldi Schreck, succeeded in making this marina the most important residential tourism complex on the Costa del Sol.
Since it was opened in May 1970, this area has become one of the biggest centres of entertainment and leisure on the Costa del Sol, achieving international fame and prestige and winning renowned awards such as the Gold Medal for Tourism in 1975 and the Gold Mercury International award.
